It was a beautiful Autumn Saturday in October. The trees were starting to turn glorious shades of yellow, orange and red. There was a chill in the air, but not enough to keep away the warmth of the sun.
I arrived at the hotel where the ladies were getting ready. Sandy looked absolutely stunning in her simple elegant A-line gown with a rhinestone belt.
After the ladies were dressed, Sandy presented these necklaces to her daughter and now step-daughter to symbolize that they have her heart, and are now officially becoming a family. "The love between a mother and daughter is forever." I have to admit, having a blended family myself, I definitely had to wipe some tears from my eyes as I captured this beautiful moment.
The ring box is definitely the most unique I have seen. I love the engraving and little spots carved out for the rings!
To go along with the rustic feel, the ceremony was set up with long wooden benches, blankets for the guests and a refreshment station as the guests walk in, complete with lemon water, apple cider and activities for the kids!
Smithville Mansion in Eastampton made for a gorgeous setting for the ceremony!
It was not only the sun, but also departed loved ones who were shining down on Ethan and Sandy that day.
Someone had the genius idea of having the guests throw confetti before the portraits (it was me, oops!), but I think I got all the confetti out of Sandy's hair.
Below is one of my favorites from the day. The sun flare was gorgeous, but more importantly look at the flower girl's reaction to their kiss. So Adorable!
Ok, well I guess not everyone had the same reaction to the newlyweds' affection...
but what a beautiful family...
As a photographer, I love to capture authentic moments rather than stiff posing. When I told Ethan and Sandy to hold hands, they both looked down at her new accessory.
A little drama...
...mixed with a lot of fun and laughter.
Wrapped up in each other...
Congratulations and best wishes to a beautiful couple!
